In loving memory ~
Peter passed away peacefully at Vernon Jubilee Hospital with his devoted wife of almost 58 years Mary, by his side. Peter was predeceased by his parents Erland and Karen (nee Larsen), older brothers: William (Norma), Allan (Norma), Carl (Barbara), Bud (Skip), his older sisters: Karen Richards (Harold), Margaret Ball (Bill) and Olga Reid. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary of Vernon, his daughters Teresa (Dan), Lisa (Mark) and Michelle (Michael) as well as three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great grandson, brother-in-law Dave Reid as well as many nieces and nephews who take away many fond memories of their favourite Uncle Pete.
Peter and Mary enjoyed their home a great deal with much time spent in the garden, yard and his workshop. Their home in Vernon was always a hub of activity for family gatherings and celebrations. Their door was always open to family, friends and neighbours. We will be "taking it one day at a time" just as you would say Dad. Until we meet again. The family would like to thank Dr. Justin Perrier and VJH Ambulatory Unit for Peter's care during his final months. At Peter's request no formal service will be held. A celebration of life, closer to what would have been his 80th birthday will be held in the spring.
