Peter David Prodaniuk passed away suddenly as the result of a trucking accident on March 4, 2004. He was born in St. Claude, Manitoba on October 26, 1959 and moved, with his parents, to Vernon in 1965. He was predeceased by, his twin brother Paul, who died on March 21st, 2003. Survived by his parents, Peter Prodaniuk and his mother and step-father, Nellie and Sandy Lyal of Vernon, three brothers, Andy (Christine) of Ladner, B.C., Larry (Marlene) of Gimli, Manitoba and Lyle (Laurie) of Red Deer, Alberta. One sister, Dawn Symington, (Derek Waters) of Vernon, B.C., one sister-in-law, Paul’s wife, Amanda Prodaniuk, also four children, Dilon, Shannon, Aaron and Alec Prodaniuk and Cole Patterson who looked upon Pete as Dad. There are many aunts and uncles, both in Manitoba and B.C. and also many nieces and cousins. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Eagles Hall (5101-25 Ave.) in Vernon. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Pete to a Trust fund for his children at any Scotia Bank. Arrangements are in the care of PERSONAL ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL SERVICE. 558-0866.
