She moved to Vernon in the 1980’s and continued her activity with the church. She had more than 50 years service with the CWL. Phyllis was very active in the church choir and played the organ for many functions. She spent many Sundays attending the services at St Ann’s or St. Benedicts on Okanagan Reserve. She was a coordinator for the Meals on Wheels for many years. She volunteered as a noon hour school supervisor for several years and she was loved by children and parents alike.

Phyllis moved to the Big Chief Trailer Park in 2001 and loved living there. She enjoyed a lot of time at her cabin on Okanagan Lake where she enjoyed peace and tranquility for 50 years. Phyllis’s family was her priority and she never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She had a gentle manner and always put others before herself.

Services for Phyllis will be held on Thursday September 24 at 1 PM at St James Catholic Church in Vernon. A tea and celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held at the St James school auditorium following the service.
