MRS. POLLY TURANSKI, a resident of Vernon since 1945, fell asleep in Jesus on Saturday, November 2nd, 2002 in the Alexander Wing of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, at the age of 96 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Bill (Vicki) of Vernon, B.C., Helen (Mike) Novakowski of Vernon, B.C., Anne (Alec) Kuchuiran of Quesnel, B.C., Ed (Audrey) of Vernon, B.C., Jean Aleka of Los Angeles, California and Lisa Connolly of New Westminster, B.C., 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1971, an infant daughter, one brother, Bill Humeny and three sisters; Nettie Hachkewich, Mary Matlock and Stella Matunin. Polly was one of the longest attending members of the Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Church and will be missed by her family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at the Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Church on Thursday, November 7th, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. with Polly’s son, Pastor Ed Teranski officiating.
