MacKay, Ralph Edward

Ralph Edward MacKay, born on September 7th, 1939 in Canora, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully in

Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Tuesday, November 19th, 2013.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 43 years, Beryl; his pride and joy, son, William (Willie) of Strathmore, AB; stepsons, Robyn Murcar of Edmonton, AB and Rick Murcar of Ridge Manor, Florida; his brother, Don, of Edmonton, AB; two nieces, one nephew, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Growing up, Ralph spent several summers at the cadet camp in Vernon before joining the Navy and then transferring to the Army where he served for 38 years at various bases in Canada, two tours in Germany and four UN tours in the Middle East.

In lieu of flowers, those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Ralph may do so to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 4, 1551 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 9M9.
