It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear son, father, husband, brother and friend, Randy Dortman. Randy leaves behind his loving wife and companion Nina Honeyman, children Brenden, Bradley and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his mother Caroline of Vernon, brother Ken (Lynda) Dortman of Kamloops, sisters, Adele Dove of Calgary and Karen Netherland of McComb, Mississippi, nieces, Deena, Leanne, Cathy, Jeanette, Tammy, Ashley and Rachel, nephew Cory and numerous aunts and uncles. Randy was predeceased by his father, John Dortman. Randy enjoyed the freedom of the outdoors. Whether it be driving his cars, riding motorcycles with his wife and friends during the summer months or snowmobiling with his buddies in the winter months, Randy was an avid lover of motor sports. Randy was friends to all who knew him and was always there for support or to lend a helping hand. Randy was committed to his job with Pioneer Electronics Of Canada, servicing locations throughout Western Canada. He loved his job and most satisfying to him was meeting people and providing service, sales and consulting to his clients – many who became his close friends. His sudden passing from this earth was in the mountains enjoying the sport he loved so much. Randy was an avid supporter of the Harley Davidson Owners Group as well as an active member of the Lumby Snowmobile Association. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Society, or the Lumby Snowmobile Association. The Celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Thursday February 14th at 2pm at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, 4303 Pleasant Valley Road, Vernon B.C.
