It is with heavy hearts and sorrow to announce the passing of Ray (Whoofta) Allen on Friday March 27, 2020.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at home from his battle with Lung Cancer surrounded by his wife and close friends. Ray was born on May 13 1948, in Rochdale, England.
Ray moved to Canada at the age of 15 with his mother and settled in Sherwood Park where he became a successful business owner. After retirement, Ray and Janice moved to Vernon, BC where they spent their summers and wintered in Palm Springs.
Ray loved life and made friends wherever he went; he could and would talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime. He had personality that was infectious to all that knew him. Ray was a "One of a Kind", always genuine, straight forward and to the point. Anyone who knew Ray loved him. Ray will be truly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Ray is survived by his wife Janice, sons Ray, and Lee (Kristy, Viktor, Alissa). Two stepsons Major, and Travis (Ada, Dax, Ivy) and niece Susan Edwards (England).
