Raymon Aimes Gratton

Raymond Aimes Gratton passed away peacefully at Vernon on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Born on July 13, 1931 at Edam, Saskatchewan, Ray was one of thirteen children born to Marie Jeanne Imboult and John Baptist Gratton.

At a very young age Raymond left the farm to come west to British Columbia. At Prince George he spent many years in the logging industry. Ray married Adeline Denis in 1953 and raised a family. In 1990 he moved to Armstrong for his retirement years, and then five years ago moved to Vernon.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, one sister and long time friend and companion Karola Hutter. He will be lovingly remembered by seven children; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters; four brothers; two sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Tea will be held 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 27 at Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 2980 Smith Drive, Armstrong. 250-546-7237.
