April 9, 1932 - March 11, 2023
In loving memory ~
Reginald Andre Joseph Bigras, 90, of Coldstream B.C., passed away peacefully on March 11th at Vernon Jubilee hospital with friends at his side. He was born in Hull, Quebec, on April 9th, 1932, to Arthur and Aldesneiges "Pilon" Bigras. He was preceded in death by his ten siblings. Reg left behind a large extended family and many friends. Reg completed his Bachelor of Education and was a French teacher for the Alberta and British Columbia school districts. He helped direct numerous plays and was heavily involved in the drama community. He positively impacted many of his students throughout the years and has maintained countless friendships. Reg was devoted to helping others and was an all-around kind soul. He volunteered for 20 years for the Enderby and District Museum and Meals on Wheels. We want to thank the Vernon Jubilee hospital staff, notably; Dr. Pete Bosma, Breanna, Naomi, his community care nurse Elaine, and The UBC body donation program. In place of a traditional memorial service, Reg requested that friends and family gather, on their own time, to reminisce and have a toast to celebrate a well-lived life. Contributions in memory of Reginald can be made to the Starfish pack to continue his legacy of helping students.
