1940 – 2008

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Frank at Hospice

House, Vernon, on Monday, June 30th, 2008, aged 67, after a short

battle with cancer.

Born in Cambridge, England, Frank immigrated to Canada in 1974,

with wife Norma and children, Elizabeth, Dominic and Rachel. He

became a proud Canadian citizen in 1981. Frank worked in the steel

industry in Kitchener, Ontario, Fort McMurray, Alberta and Westbank,

BC, and since 1982 has been a resident of Vernon, Coldstream and

Desert Cove Estates.

Frank will be sorely and forever missed by Norma, his wife and best

friend for 39 years; daughter Elizabeth (Bob), Camrose, Alberta; son

Dominic (Olivia), Port Moody, BC; daughter Rachel, Vernon; and by

son-in-law Gary Oberle. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren

who will greatly miss their “Gumpy” – Dylan and Aleigha, Charlotte,

baby William Reginald, and Chui. Also surviving are parents-in-law,

Cyril and Ellen Denton of Lincoln, England, as well as his faithful

spaniel, Jennie.

Private family funeral service and interment will be held graveside at

Coldstream Cemetery. Family fl owers only. In lieu of fl owers, donations

may be made in Frank’s name to Vernon Hospice House or to

the SPCA Vernon Branch.

All friends and family are invited to a memorial tea in Frank’s memory

at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home Tea Room on Saturday, July 5th at

2:30 p.m.
