Renate Ilona Preiss

October 23, 1949 - January 4, 2020
Renate was born on October 23rd, 1949 in Oldenburg, Germany and was called Home to be with her Lord on January 4th, 2020 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 70 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Connie (Bryan) McLachlan and Sylvia (Will) Skippen, her grandchildren; Gabriel, Kyla and Joshua McLachlan and Nicole and Andrea Skippen, her sister; Inge (Horst) Grams along with numerous extended family members and friends. Renate was preceded in death by her parents; Samuel and Paulina Machel, her brother; Fred Machel and by her sister; Sonja Jakobsh.
Cremation preceded a Celebration of Renate's Life which will be held at the Vernon Church of God (4312 25th Street) on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 at 11 am with Pastor Gary Glanz officiating. A Reception will follow in the Church of God Fellowship Hall.
As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Renate to the Gideons.
