Mr. Reynold (Ray) Tetz of Lake Country Lodge, Winfield, formerly of Kelowna, went to be with his Lord on March 3, 2009.
Ray was born on December 12, 1918 in Borodinao, Romania. He was married in 1941 to Ida Schinkel, who predeceased him in 1994. They lived in the Fraser Valley, where they farmed. In 1950 they moved to Kelowna and bought a farm at Mission Creek and in 1954 moved to and farmed in Winfield. They retired in 1976 and took up residence in Kelowna. Ray moved into full time care in December 2003. He was also predeceased by his parents, Friedrich and Emilie Tetz; his sisters: Anne Warkentin, Martha Russell and Emma Semler. He will be sadly missed by his brother Jack (Hilda) of White Rock; his children: Gordon (Sherry) Tetz, Marlene (Len) Tonn, Doreen (Ken) Hawley and Delorse/Lori (Paul) Rapoza; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and his brothers and sisters-in-law.
Dad was a dependable, hard worker and good provider and always did his best to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with his God. We lovingly honour him. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC with Rev. Leon Throness officiating. Burial will follow in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. Dad was loved and cared for by the nurses and care aids at the Lake Country Lodge and we give them our sincere and heartfelt thanks.
