Richard Keith Robinson

March 12, 2019

July 16, 1943 - March 12, 2019
Survived by wife Patti. Sons Scott and Darren. Daughters Vanessa, Alana, Heidi and Julie. Grandsons Brooks, Bradley and Ace. Siblings Janet, Jim, Ken and Blair.

Dick was passionate about his community. He coached, refereed and umpired and was President in minor hockey in three different communities. He was involved with construction of Stan Halcro Memorial Arena as well as Lumberman's and Robinson Parks.

Dick loved the Cariboo. He had many favourite spots for hunting and fishing as well as those for telling stories at the end of the day. He was a very good shot.

Dick also loved sports. In his early years he played football and golf and later fastball, curling and Rec Hockey.

By far his #1 passion was for coaching. He believed in a "Team first" attitude and would not acccept anything less. He instilled the core values of hard work, perseverance, fair play, loyalty and the love of competition in all of his players. He was successful at every level of every sport in every town he and Patti resided in. He took great pride in seeing young people develop and shared in their successes.

A "Celebration of Life" was held on the beach in Bucerias on March 16 with 50 friends and family in attendance. Dick's ashes have been spread from Mexican beaches to Canim Lake in a number of his favourite places to be.

The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences in our time of sorrow.
