Richard Wayne Murdock

April 3, 1951 - March 2, 2020
The friends and family of Richard Wayne Murdock sadly relate his passing on March 02, 2020. Coming into this world on April 03, 1951, Wayne, as he was commonly known as, went on to lead an adventurous life. He worked construction in foreign lands, married two incredible women (at different times), and rode motorcycles throughout various parts of the grandly diverse BC.
A complex man of many interests, Wayne was seen at many locales; from the gambling halls of Nevada and Washington, to the A&Ws of the Okanagan Valley. His passion for all things automotive was evident to all. A lover of animals, and a great supporter of their rights, he co-raised several very cool dogs, and even warmed up to cats in the last few years of his life.
He was a strong, tenacious individual, occasionally known to be "stubborn". Compassionate, yet firm in his beliefs. He is predeceased by his wife Sandra, and survived by children Everett, Heather, David, and Stacey.
Thanks go out to the staff of South Okanagan General Hospital, and Family Health Clinic in Oliver, BC for labouring to keep him as strong and well as possible.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any SPCA branch, or similar organization.
An informal memorial service will be held at his house outside of Oliver, BC on Saturday, March 14, from 1 - 4 pm. The address is 28-8300 Gallagher Lake Frontage Rd, Oliver, BC.
