Our dear Bob passed on in the North Okanagan Hospice on the last day of 2020 after a long struggle with the health of his heart and back.
He was born near Bredenbury, Saskatchewan on his parents farm. He moved to Drayton Valley, Alberta to work as a carpenter and then began his long and successful career in the oil industry, living in Red Deer, Sherwood Park, Denver and Calgary before retiring in Vernon.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marian; one brother, Rick (Celine) Dressler; three daughters, Shan Pletcher, Lynne Parkinson and Kathryn Donnell (Andrew Udoff); one son, Kelly (Paula) Dressler; six grandchildren, Austin Carpenter, Chase Thill, Dakota Donnell, Jesse Pletcher, Jacklin Pletcher and Cally (Steve) and great-grandson, Coen Monneray; many nieces and nephews; his first wife, Pat Koosey; and four sons-in-law, Gary Pletcher, Didier Martin, Travis Carpenter and Joe Thill.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Dressler; his father, Willie Dressler; one brother, Erwin Dressler; and one son-in-law, Danny Donnell.
Cremation preceded a virtual Celebration of Life Service which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 at 1 pm.
