Robert Cameron Taylor

March 1, 1980 – April 29, 2009

Robert, age 29, passed away in Kelowna B.C. He is survived by his mother, Lynne Taylor, brother John [Bonny] Taylor, sister Barbara [John] Klinger, grandmother Joan Brooks, aunt Fiona Taylor and nephew Dominic Taylor. He was predeceased by his father, Dan Taylor 2007, grandfather Joseph Brooks 2005, uncle John Brooks 2009, and great-aunt Chrissie Brown 2008.

Robert was born and raised in Vernon B.C. where he attended OK Landing Elementary School, Clarence Fulton Secondary School and OUC in Kelowna. Rob enjoyed aviation, computer animation and playing football for Fulton. He also loved fishing, the outdoors, hot sunny summers and being with family and friends. As a proud Canadian, Rob also took great pride in his Scottish ancestry. Robert loved his family with all his heart. His infectious smile would brighten everyone’s day. Robert’s positive attitude, great sense of humour and good spirits helped him live with a severe spinal cord injury which he sustained 8 1/2 years ago.

Robert and his family would like to say a special thank you to Rob’s care staff: Robin, Lynn, Phil, and Erin, for their many wonderful years of support, excellent care and keeping Robert safe in his own home.

Robert’s gentle soul has gone to join his Dad. We will forever love and miss you Robert. You were the sparkle in our lives.

A Celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home in Vernon.
