Robert (Bob) Edward Luttmerding was born on December 2, 1955 in Regina, SK. In June of 1966 the family loaded up and moved over the Rockies to Armstrong, BC. Bob attended elementary and high school in Armstrong, graduating in 1974.
In 1978 he married Wendy Galbraith and together they had 5 children; Erin, Adam, Bern, Maryanne and Kristen. Dad was a farmer from a very young age and in 1987 he took over the family farm. In addition to being a farmer he was also a truck driver, gardener, canner, chef, and karaoke star (Little Bobby L).
He also fancied himself as a scholar and philosopher. Dad also greatly enjoyed the CBC, reading, doing "crop checks" with Adam, listening to Neil Young, and jokes of all kinds. Dad worked for the Municipality of Spallumcheen, Buckerfield's, Sure Crop Feeds, and in 2019 retired from Baird Bros. Dad loved games especially Cribbage and Monopoly and always carried the team during Trivial Pursuit.
Dad passed away at his home on May 23, 2021 at the age of 65. He will be missed by many but especially by his kids; Erin, Adam, Maryanne (Mark), and Kristen. He was predeceased by his son Bern, brother Leo and parents Robert and Rita.
The family plans to host a gathering remembering Bob at a future date once COVID restrictions are lifted. For those who can't attend please lift one up in memory of Bob!
