With great sadness we announce that Robert (Gary) Cook suddenly passed away on July 29 2021 at the age of 75 at his home in Vernon, BC with his loving wife Linda by his side.
His immense loss is felt by his wife Linda, of 28 years, sons Darren (Sabine), Brad (Jessica) and daughter Brenna (Len). He was a doting and loving Grandfather to Raylee, Ryan, Noah, Brady and Summer.
Gary was a longtime employee of BC Hydro/ Fortis and had many friends and colleagues that he still was connected with. Gary had his own companies of Gabbo Industries and then with Navajo Consulting Inc. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, he loved his trips with his close friends especially his best bud Phil. He will be greatly missed by his curling family at Royal City Curling Club then Vernon Curling Club and loved everything about the sport.
He was predeceased by his father Bob, mother Pat, brother Gord and sister Gail. Left to mourn his sister Gwen (Jerry) and niece Jackie and family. He will be greatly missed by his extended family, brother - in law Bob (Val) and numerous cousins.
If you had to ask Gary what his greatest accomplishment would be he would say his children and grandchildren. They were his pride and joy and would tell anyone how he loved each and every one of us. His humor and love of life will be a huge loss to all that knew him. He will be missed by all the lives he touched in all facets of his life.
As per Gary's wishes there will not be a service.
