Robert Henry Schultz or “Bob” to his friends and family, born April 21, 1950, lost his swift battle with cancer on September 9, 2016. Bob was born and raised in B.C. and lived out the majority of his life in Vernon. Bob held various jobs as a young man, including but not limited to firefighting from helicopters, cutting trails through Yoho National Park and retiring after serving over 30 years with North Okanagan Water Authority, formerly Vernon Irrigation District. Bob was a man who loved the outdoors hunting, fishing and just enjoying nature. Bob was a jack of all trades and always willing to lend a hand to his family and friends despite enjoying his solitude. He was a true “Macguyver” and could create or fix anything. He had a passion for crafting and was always drawing and creating some custom design or another for anything really, from hunting knives to pack saddles, furniture and even a home, always paying extra attention to the fine details.

Bob is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Bertha Schultz, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his only daughter Annette Schultz.

There will be no service as per Bob’s request. Donations can be made in care of Vernon Hospice or the B.C. Wildlife Federation.
