Rob was born on June 1st, 1959 in Edmonton, Alberta to Marjorie and Robert White and passed away on July 19th, 2020 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 61 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his partner of 9 years; Regina Goold (daughter Samantha Goold), his niece; Lisa (Matt) and their 3 children of Langley, B.C., his nephew; Josh, his uncle Stan, his aunt Dorothy, his aunt Fran along with numerous extended family members and friends. Rob was preceded in death by his parents; Robert & Marjorie White and by his sister; Linda.
Rob owned his own custom cabinet company in Whistler, B.C. for over 15 years before moving to Cherryville, B.C. and continuing his craft there as well as some logging. Many houses around the area have beautiful cabinets made by Rob's hands. His talent in woodworking was remarkable and he could fix anything that broke down. His mind was brilliant and could figure out the best and easiest way to get a job accomplished.
Rob loved his horses, his cats and his gorgeous property. He was an animal lover and had a beautiful gentle soul. Everyone who met Rob liked him and he made good friends in the Cherryville and surrounding area who will miss him dearly.
A heartfelt thank you to the Vernon Community Care Nurses (area 4), Dr. Pritchett and the angels at Hospice House for the wonderful care given to Rob. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Rob to Prostate Cancer Research or to the North Okanagan Hospice Society.
In respecting Rob's wishes, he was cremated and a Celebration of his Life will be held in Cherryville for family and close friends at a later date.
