It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roberta Fern Lucy, age 73, on Tuesday, May 17th at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Roberta was born in Vernon but grew up in Kamloops, then moved back to Vernon in the mid 70’s.
Roberta was predeceased by her father Robert McShane and step daughter Sandy Lucy.
Roberta is survived by her husband, Donald Lucy; daughter Tracy Cathcart and son Dean Hansen; stepchildren Dave (Denise) and Lee (Sean). She had three wonderful grandchildren: Kade, Emily and Makenna and is also survived by her mother, Margaret McShane, siblings Rick (Linda), Lynda (Rick), Randy (Penny) and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Thank you to her very good friend Sharon Skinner for making the time to see Roberta while she was in the hospital.
Roberta loved to go on road trips to the States. She loved to meet new people and was the life of the party wherever she went. Her laugh was contagious and will be missed very much. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She loved hockey and especially the Vancouver Canucks. She knew everything about every player.
Roberta’s wishes were that there be no service.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.
