We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, on May 20th, 2003, of Robert (Bob) Leslie CRITTENDEN. Bob was born January 3rd, 1922, in Brandon, Manitoba. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dell, 3 children; Jean of Vernon, Ruth (Jack Roper) of Saudi Arabia and David of Calgary. He was an unforgettable grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by both his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Bob was born and raised in Brandon, Man., where he met and married Dell. From Brandon, they moved to BC, living in White Rock and Vernon. From Vernon, he moved to Calgary with his family until he retired. He and his wife retired in Parker Cove on the West Side Road 25 years ago where Bob always claimed “it was the best place in the world to live”. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vernon Jubilee Cancer Dept., or charity of your choice. A special thank-you goes out to Dr. Armanious, a very special person in Bob’s life. Dr. Armanious travelled a long road with Bob and will be remembered by Bob’s family for his support and friendship. There will be a private cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Parker-Bonneau Memorial Centre at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26th, 2003 on the West Side Road.
