It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, Ronald Clowry of Vernon, BC. He kept us on our toes until his 75th year but he left us suddenly on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

He was born in the Mabel Lake area of Lumby (Squaw Valley) BC on April 19, 1942 to Issac Clowry and Wilma Clowry (Whelan).

Though he had many nicknames as a trucker through the years, he was most well known to his buddies as “Super”.  He was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back if he could and would often be found in coffee shops all over town spinning up a good tale.

Survived by: his kids, Justin Clowry and Kristen Clowry (James Fraser); brother, Gerald Clowry (Dixie Clowry); niece and nephew, Angie Clowry and Dion Clowry; great niece, Chloe Lou Clowry; niece and nephew, Darren Hopp and Denise Canning; and his dearest friend, Kathy Louis.

We wish to invite all who knew him to a celebration of his life to be hosted at White Valley Community Centre in Lumby on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm.  Dad wouldn’t want anyone showing up in a suit so please wear the colour of your favorite car. Hats are welcome too; he wouldn’t be there without his.  If you have a favourite photo of Ron or story to share, please bring it along to share with the family.
