Rona Moran

January 28, 1939 - November 15, 2018
Rona Rowena Gianchiglia Moran passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on November 15, 2018 at Orchard Manor in Kelowna B.C. She was born in Vancouver, BC on January 28, 1939. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband Reg Moran; children Rod (Amy), Grayson (Lora), Derek (Tamara); grandchildren Alexa, Morgan, Addison, Brynn; sisters Marion, Joan (Gil).

Rona spent her early years in Vancouver where she married the love of her life and graduated from nursing school. On a dare, Reg and Rona moved to Vernon, BC where Reg worked as a school teacher and Rona raised their 3 sons. Once the boys were in school, Rona returned to her nursing career and worked at Vernon Jubilee in the field of Psychiatric Nursing which she enjoyed very much. Rona loved living on the lakeshore in Vernon and maintained a healthy lifestyle throughout her years including running, biking, swimming, skiing and volunteered with the Red Cross in Vernon. Reg and Rona retired early and spent winters in Mesa, Arizona where she continued her active lifestyle of tennis, swimming and biking.
