Ronald W. Duncan, 88, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 2, 2017. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his partner, Judy Rourke, his children, Kyle (Norma), Kathy (Ray) Norstrom, Kirk (Laura), his grandchildren, Tara, Wanda, Scott, Jordan, Mitchell, Heather and Sean, his great grand-children Devyn, Sydney, Justin, Rylie, Kobe, Georgina and Max and many caring friends and family members. Ron was predeceased by Doreen, his wife of 52 years.

Ron had close ties to the Vernon community. He spent 25 years in the RCMP and retired as S/Sgt. in charge of the Vernon Detachment in 1972. He went on to spend 16 years in real estate and 9 years as manager of the Vernon Clinic Building. Ron joined the Masonic Order in 1957 and in more recent years he was an active member of the Kalamalka Lodge #160 fraternity.

Ron enjoyed the company of good friends, many of whom he remained in close contact with throughout the years. Those who knew Ron will miss his stories, his sense of humour and his love of song.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church in Vernon, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
