It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather.
Ron was born on September 1, 1934 in Donalda, AB and it was in Calgary that he met his wife Jean of 55 years.
He is survived by his sons Gord (Marcine), Leslie (Raelyn) and Kelly (Bonnie), grandchildren Raegan, Jayla, Brett and Kyra.
Ron's career started with the Alberta Government telephones, he then moved to BC in 1964 and worked with Okanagan telephones and retired from BC Tel in 1993.
Ron will be remembered as a very genuine, honest and fair man who only ever wanted you to try your best. He lived a full life and enjoyed many things, from watching his sons play hockey, even if just by himself to a house-full of family enjoying every moment.
There will be no service by request. An interment will be in Ferrypoint, AB at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the BC Children's Hospital.
Ron will be missed by all of his family, our dog Cocoa and everyone who knew him.
