Rose Ruesch

Rose Ruesch was born on May 17th, 1926 in Reidern, Switzerland and passed away on April 26th, 2008 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 81 years.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Rose Ruesch. She will be lovingly remembered by us, her five children, Adolf (Theresa) Ruesch of Vernon, B.C., Walter (Ursula) Ruesch of Elkford, B.C., Rosmarie (John) Rachwalski of Vernon, B.C., John (Leona) Ruesch and Margrit (Jim) Masters of Lumby, B.C.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lini (Kari) Weber and Marie (Rene) Koch in Switzerland; her brother-in-law, Anton Ruesch of Vernon, B.C. and numerous extended family members. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Adolf; her parents, Hans & Rosina Katharina Weber and one brother, Hans Weber.

Rose served with the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Lumby for many years and was also very active with the Lumby Minor Hockey.

Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Rose’s Life which will be held on what would have been her 82nd Birthday – Saturday, May 17th, 2008 at the Schubert Centre from 1:00-3:00 P.M.
