August 18, 1933 - February 21, 2017
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Rudy Swart, at the age of 83 in Vernon, BC, having lost his battle with dementia.
Rudy is survived by his wife Connie and their five children: Andrew, Gordon, Tamara, Tanja (Fraser) and Letisha (Chad), grandchildren Justice, Valen and Jude; in Holland his sister Maud and many nieces and nephews, and predeceased by his brother Bernard (Reina).
Rudy will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends as a hardworking provider, father, husband, for his delicious Indonesian cooking and as a talented musician (aka Blacky) in his younger years in some of the best known Dutch Indo-Rock bands of the late 1950s: “The Real Room Rockers” & “The Hot Jumpers”.
Special thanks to Sue, nurses and care aides at Polson Special for their compassionate care in his final years.
