May 1, 1943 - Mar 12, 2018
Russell Blake Jervis was born on May 1st, 1943 in Drumheller, Alberta and passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on March 12th, 2018 at the age of 74 years.

Soon after Russell's birth the family moved from Drumheller to McBride, B.C. where he celebrated his 1st birthday. It was in McBride that he started his career with B.C. Hydro - one in which he would remain for the next 36 years. In the late 1970s Russell moved to Vernon and since arriving here he was involved in several organizations over the years.  He was a leader in the Lavington Cubs, a member of the Fly Fishing Club, the North Okanagan Carvers Society and the local Woodcarving Club.

He enjoyed camping and fishing as well as working with and fabricating items of metal.  Russell was a man who could accomplish almost anything he set his mind and hands to doing.

Russell will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nancy, to whom he was married for 48 years; one daughter, Kim (Ken) Bitz of Drumheller, Alberta, one son, Neil Jervis of Vernon, B.C.; one grandson, Ethan Bitz; three granddaughters, Jaida, Sarah and Tessa Bitz; two brothers, Walter Jervis of McBride, B.C. and Arnold (Florence) Jervis of Salmon Arm, B.C.; one sister, Sharon (Marvin) Moore of Lumby, B.C.; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In respecting Russell's wishes, he was cremated and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

Cremation arrangements were made with BETHEL FUNERAL CHAPEL LTD., 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5. 250-542-1187
