On Wednesday, February 24, 2021 Ruth went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
In loving memory of a wonderful wife, mother, Oma, Oma-Oma, sister and friend who passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Vernon, B.C.
Ruth was born on March 16th, 1933 in Lautzkaimen, Lithuania. She immigrated to Canada in 1948 and settled in Regina, Sk. where she met her husband Nathan. They were married in 1953 in Regina, moved to Kamloops, B.C. in 1973 and retired to Vernon B.C. in 1997.
Ruth is survived by her children, Rudolf (Agnes) of Vancouver B.C., Kurt (Bev) of Blind Bay B.C., Martin (Dale) of Calgary Alta., and Eric of Vancouver B.C.; grandchildren Fernando, Ivan, Jason (Orenda), Robert (Lindsay) and Brittany; great grandchildren Nathaniel & Natalie and Megan & Ellie; sister, Erna Muenz of Calgary Alta.; sisters-in-law, Gisela Geschwandtner & Ruth Engel of Regina Sk. and Irma Jagos of Toronto Ont.; brother-in-law, Henry (Gertrude) Pelzer of Richmond B.C.; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Nathan; her parents, Gustav and Maria Geschwandtner; her brother, Ben & sister-in-law Jean and her brother, Helmut; brothers-in-law, Erwin Muenz, Richard Engel and Sam Jagos and her grandson, David Pelzer.
A private family memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 11th, 2021 at 1 pm at Pleasant Valley Memorial Chapel, with Pastor David Reim officiating. Cremation and interment in the columbarium at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home.
