Sam, MWO retired, passed away on February 11, 2008 at the age of 75 years. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marty; children: Bob (Joni) of Coquitlam, BC, Rick (Marie-France) of Victoria, BC, Sandy (Tim) Tahara of Kelowna; grandchildren: Brayden, Lindsay, and Ryan Tonogai, Jordan, Ashley and Trevor Tahara; brothers and sisters: Art, Tak, Emilie, Harry and Kathy. Sadly predeceased by his parents and older brother Larry. A special thank-you to the Home Care Nurse Roberta and the staff at Douglas Fir – especially Nurses Michelle and Judy for all your special attention. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1633 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1P6.
