Our beautiful daughter fell asleep in death at her home in Vernon on the early morning of July 2, 2009, in the arms of her family.
Born June 9, 1990, she was always determined to live life to the fullest, never allowing her fight with cancer (2004 and 2009) to slow her down or diminish her passion for life. She will be forever remembered for her infectious laugh, indomitable spirit, determined attitude and compassionate zeal to help others with their own challenges. Her fight for individual choice in medical treatment has contributed to constitutional rights for Canadian mature minors.
Left to wait for her to awaken from the sleep of death are her parents Lance and Debbie Sailer of Calgary, Kelly and Tracy Bahris of Vernon, her brother Sheldon (Chelsea) of Vernon, her step-brother Houston (Ida) and step-sister Tess (Lucas) both of Calgary, along with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends she made from all around the world. We’ll miss you Sar-Bear.
Over the course of her illnesses many have supported Sarah and her family in various ways, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude. A memorial service for Sarah will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 1424 Mission Hill Road, Vernon at 2 pm on Saturday, July 11th.
All are welcome. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Sarah’s favorite charity was Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society of Canada
