We regret to announce the accidental passing at Armstrong, of Sheila Moyra Lacey, aged 70 years. Sheila was born in the Yukon Territory and was raised in England returning to Canada to live out her adult journey. She lived on the coast and came to Armstrong in 1922. Sheila was a spiritual person and being a naturalist loved the earth and all it’s creations. She was a woman of many talents and interests including wood working writing ( poetry and books ), and her membership in the Canadian Society of Questers.
Sheila will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by 2 daughters, Mia Lacey Smith and Orianna Lacey Smith, both on Vancouver Island, sister, Frances Appleyard, in Alberta, soul sister Jackie Hope, of Aldergrove. She has extended family in New Zealand and England along with many dear friends in the Armstrong area.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mountain View Tea Room of Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 2980 Smith Drive, Armstrong, BC, on Friday April 4, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Cremation. Friends wishing to make memorial donations to the Food Bank or the S.P.C.A.
