On December 10, 2003, Sheila Pethick passed away in Victoria following a difficult struggle with a rare form of Parkinson’s disease. Sheila is dearly missed by her loving husband and partner in life, Jack; their four children; son, Michael and daughters, Wendy, Debbie and Sandy and their families including 8 beautiful grandchildren. Sheila’s love of life, people, the lake and golf as well as her unfailing faith in God are among the dearest memories she leaves with her family and friends. You could always count on Sheila’s warm smile at the centre of the daily hustle and bustle of their home on the lake in Vernon.
Sheila’s last days were spent surrounded by loved ones and the caring hands of the wonderful staff at the Mount Tolmie Hospital to whom the family extend their sincerest thanks. Their genuine compassion and soft touch was a great comfort. We know you are in a better place and our love will always be there with you. Although the flowers and warm wishes already received from friends have been greatly appreciated, Jack and the kids ask that in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Mount Tolmie Hospital in Victoria to assist them with providing other families with the same love and care their family received. A private family service was held December 13th in Victoria.
