Sheri Lee Lumley (nee McNamara) of Serene Dr. in Armstrong, passed away at the Royal Inland Hospital as a result of injuries sustained from a fall while horseback riding. Sheri was born in Thompson, Manitoba on Boxing Day in 1963. Sheri and her family moved to Malakwa, B.C. in the spring of 1972. She went to elementary school in Malakwa and graduated from Eagle River Secondary in Sicamous, finishing with a Hotel Business Management Degree at Okanagan College in Kelowna. Sheri was a pro at her job and at making people happy. Her career in Hospitality began at the tender age of 14 at Three Valley Gap. She loved working with people and it showed. Sheri received many accolades for her warm personality and stellar customer service skills in her nine years at the Jackie’s Coffee Shop and most recently at the Village Green Hotel Restaurant. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her adoring husband Steve, mother Linda McNamara, two brothers John and Michael, and all those who had the good fortune to know her. A private Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the PLEASANT VALLEY FUNERAL HOME (542-4333).
