Armstrong resident, Sherman Archibald Bruce Blair passed away at Vernon on Friday, August 19, 2005. Aged 76 years. He will be sadly missed by sons Bruce (Connie) of Kamloops and Hoss of Williams Lake; daughter Pam (Martin) Randell of Armstrong; grandchildren Brandi (Dan), Rhett, Patrick and Michelle; great grandchildren MacKenzie, Paige and Michael; sister Oriolle Patriquin of Calgary. Sherman was predeceased by a brother Alfred, sister Myrtle and his parents. Born and raised in Alberta, Sherman worked for BC Rail and lived in various BC communities until moving to Armstrong in 1998. He was very active in hockey wherever he lived and was a member of the Vernon Canadians. Sherman played in Scotland, the UK, Quesnel and Williams Lake. A Celebration of Sherman’s Life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2005, at the Odd Fellows Hall, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations for Minor Hockey Registration Assistance, may be made to the Kinsmen, Box 223, Armstrong, V0E 1B0.
