It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Sherrie; wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully at Hospice House on April 2, 2018, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Vancouver BC in 1935 to Florence and Fred Helmer. Sherrie moved to Vernon in 1949, met Jack, and they were married in 1957 and then settled in the Coldstream. The Kalamalka Country Club is where the family loved to spend their summers. In 1967, Jack and Sherrie started a new venture, Chinchilla Ranching. In 1979, they built on their dream property in Armstrong which enabled them to further expand their chinchilla ranch. They met people from all over the world and won many shows, including 2 Canadian National Show Championships.

Sherrie was predeceased by her mother and step-father Florence Roberts (Ingram) and Clifford Roberts and Fred and Edith Helmer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, in Vernon, on Friday April 13th, 2018 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Sherrie's memory.
