It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Spike Klassen in hospital on January 17th aged 70 due to a brave battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his first wife Elsie in 1983. Spike is survived by his loving wife Tracey, a son Bill and daughter Bev, 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also 3 stepchildren Carmen, Marcey and Regan. Spike served his country in the R.C.A.F. for 30 years. He also did duty in Germany and as a peacekeeper in the Gaza Strip. Spike loved gardening and was especially proud of his tomatoes and squash. He also enjoyed crib and golfing with his brothers. At Spike’s specific request there will be no funeral. A private family memorial will be held on the coast where most of the family reside, at a later date. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
