January 24, 1932 - July 13, 2020
It is with profound sadness that Stan's family announces his passing on Monday, July 13, 2020 at the age of 88. He was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He attended Mount Royal College in Calgary and continued his education at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma in Petroleum Engineering. He worked in many capacities in that field in Alberta for 30 years.
He lived in Edmonton and many other small Alberta and Saskatchewan towns while working on drilling rigs before retiring to Vernon, BC in 1988. He lived at Columbus Court where he was well loved and respected by many of the residence.
Always athletic, he excelled at snooker and many sports including slow pitch baseball, tennis, golf, hockey, and curling. Cycling was a passion as was swimming in the lakes and enjoying the wonderful Okanagan. He was an avid reader and consistently used the Vernon library.
Stan will be lovingly remembered by his children Brad Morgan (Paula), Jeff Morgan, Ted Morgan, Sandra Kerestes (Tom), and by his grandchildren Kayla Farnham (Glen), Scott Morgan, Levi Morgan, Devan Morgan, Abby Morgan and great-grandchild Curtis Farnham. He is predeceased by his father and mother, Arthur and Chrissy Morgan and sister Marg Condon.
No memorial is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency.
Dad, you will surely be missed.
