August 8, 1926 - April 12, 2019
Stanley was born on August 8th, 1926 and was called Home to be with his Lord on April 12th, 2019 at the age of 92 years.
Stanley will be lovingly remembered by his wife Freda; one son, Ron of Vernon, B.C.; one daughter, Sandra (Murray) Goodings of Surrey, B.C.; four grandchildren, Melissa, Aaron, Christopher and Stephanie; two sisters, Ruth Malec and Mildred Malec, both of Vernon, B.C.; one brother, John (Evelyn) Malec of Lake Country, B.C.; and numerous extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Stanley was born and raised in Vilna, Alberta and came to Vernon as a young man in 1943. He left here for a few years to help establish a church in the Lower Mainland, then returning to Vernon where he remained until his death. He was very involved in various areas of ministry in the Church of God of Prophecy and for five years during the 1960s was the Pastor of the church. Stanley worked in both the logging and sawmill industry but will be best remembered together with his wife Freda, as being the owners and operators of Polson Laundromat & Dry Cleaners from 1972-1991.
The Funeral Service will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 at 11 am with Pastors Mitch Cameron and John Harper officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room and at the conclusion of the Reception, Stanley will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
