With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of our mother, sister, grandmother, and friend at the North Okanagan Hospice Society on March 9th 2016. She fought a courageous battle with Cancer during the last 3 years. She is survived by her children Teresa, Andrew (Joan), Gerald (Joni), Brian (Nola) & Roger (Ronda); by her siblings Mary (Brent), Shirley, Basil (Lynne), Laura, & Sam (Fern); by her grandchildren Daniel, Amanda (Cary), Michelle (Celia), Scott (Anali), Megan, Greg, Iris (Dustin), Sarah, Kimberley, Rebecca and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family. Stella was predeceased by her loving husband Eugene, parents Herbert & Adelia Green and siblings Margaret & Rocky, her daughter in law Renee and son in law Vic. Born in New Brunswick, she spent 40 years in Prince George raising her family, and at retirement moved with Eugene to Vernon, BC in 1992. An active person in both communities, she was a member of the CWL, Pro-life Society Store and a long-time volunteer (and renowned knitter, especially baby sets) at the Schubert Centre. The family would like to thank all of her special friends at the Arlington Manor for their lasting friendship and loving care. She was a special lady and will be fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched. A celebration of Stella’s life will be held on April 30th 2016 between 2 and 4pm at the Schubert Centre at 3505 – 30th Ave, Vernon, BC.
