Stephen Brodoway passed away peacefully at Noric House on Monday January 27, 2003. He was born in Brooksby, Saskatchewan on November 29, 1912 and had just celebrated his 90 birthday. He farmed in the Enderby area and worked at the Canoe Sawmill until his retirement; at which time he moved to Vernon, where he enjoyed bowling, pattern dancing and gardening. He maintained his zest for life, keeping his house and orchard until he was 87 years of age. He could still run up and down the picking ladder shortly before. Stephen was predeceased by his wife Mary, a granddaughter Kelly Koski and a great grandson Cole. He is survived by two daughters, Adel Yazura and Sylvia Koski, two sons, Paul and Dennis (Shelley), five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his brother Joe (Doreen) of Enderby. Funeral service will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Chapel on Friday January 31, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation prior to service. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside service in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Noric House, 1400 Mission Road, Vernon, BC V1T 9C3. Arrangements have been entrusted to PLEASANT VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 542-4333.
