Steven Jeffrey Hyciek
Steven was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He left this world suddenly on April 6, 2023 at age 46. He leaves behind his children, Jenna, Jessica and Lucas as well as his mother Dorothy, sister Catherine, step-mother Gail and many friends and extended family members. Steve is pre-deceased by his father Stan.
Steve was born to Stan and Dorothy Hyciek on October 21, 1976 in Calgary Alberta. He spent his childhood years in Calgary and made many life-long friendships there. As a young adult, Steve spent time driving tow truck in the Revelstoke area where he met his future wife Karyn and became Step-Dad to Lucas and Jessica, and later Dad to Jenna.
Steve loved his children fiercely and was proud of all their accomplishments. He obtained his Class 1 licence and spent the remainder of his life working as a fuel truck driver. He took great pride in his career.
Steve was an amazing cook and a great host. He loved entertaining guests. Steve enjoyed fishing, boating, target shooting, touring the back roads and spending time with his loved ones.
