The family regrets to announce the passing of Steven Smedley Hatt at The Vernon Jubiliee Hospital on August 7, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Steve was born in Vancouver Sept 3, 1921. He served in the second world war from 1940 to 1945 where he met Eleanor (Anne) Moore in England. He was married to Anne on April 5th, 1945 and later that year returned to Canada where he settled in Vancouver. He moved his family to the Okanagan Valley in 1958 and worked in various places in the Okanagan & Caribou regions then retired in 1982 in the North Okanagan. Steve and Anne spent their retirement together traveling, fishing and camping throughout BC and went on many excursions to casinos throughout the USA. Steve leaves behind to mourn his wife Eleanor (Anne), his daughter Judith, his sons Roger (Diane), Pat (Jill) Brian (Dianne), his grandchildren Stephanie, Pamela, Jes, Darrin, Jeremey, Becky and great grandchildren Conner, Quin & Hailey. The family and Anne greatly appreciate the care and kindness received by the staff on 3 East and by Dr. Arnold and the Interior Health. There will be no memorial service by the request of Steve.
