Peacefully, at Hospice House, on July 22, 2007, Sylvia was taken home to be with her Lord. Sylvia was born at Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, on February 3, 1936. She was a resident of Vernon for over 30 years, and was employed by CIBC here for over 25 years. Sylvia was an all-around athlete in her youth, and was an ardent sports fan. She also loved music, and was an enthusiastic guitarist. Sylvia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years, Richard; daughters Glenda of North Vancouver, Debbie and Terry Lynn both of Vernon; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Sylvia will also be missed terribly by her two special friends, Franky and Tio, who were her constant companions. She is also survived by brother Merlin Blunt of Falkland, sister Muriel Cote of Edmonton, and numerous extended family members. Honouring her request, there will be no public service held. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Sylvia to Hospice House, 3506 – 27 Avenue, Vernon V1T 1S4. Cremation arrangements are in the care of:
