July 14, 1936 - January 28, 2021
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Tamas Miklos Jasper, on January 28, 2021.
Tamas, loving husband and father, predeceased by his wife Eva, survived by his daughters Barbara (Steve), Diane (Lorne), granddaughters Gina, Jessica, great-granddaughters Angelina, Rebecca.
Tamas Miklos Jasper was born in Budapest, Hungary on July 14, 1936. He had one brother, Leos. At 19, Tamas left Europe for Canada. He located to Calgary, Alberta where he began to apprentice as a house painter.
He met and married Eva in 1977.
Tamas loved the British Columbia landscape, it reminded him of the 'old country', the family located there in 1981. In the mid 80's, Tamas established his own interior/exterior house painting business, Ace Painting. He was known as the best house painter throughout the Okanagan. Tamas was a very skilled painter, gardener, wine maker, and exceptional cook, skills of which he passed on to us. He loved birds, classical music, opera.
He will be forever remembered in our hearts.
