MR. TATSUZO (TATS) YAMAMOTO of Vernon, B.C. passed away on Monday, June 16th, 2003 at the age of 75 years. Tats was born in Hardieville, Alberta on February 8th, 1928. He will be dearly missed by his wife Cecile, his sister-in-law, Fumi Yamamoto of Lethbridge, Alberta, his nephew, Byron of Lethbridge, Alberta, his niece, Colleen of Brooks, Alberta, his niece, Terry of Lethbridge, Alberta, five great-nephews and one great-niece. Tats was predeceased by his parents and his brother Gerry. Tats was a Doctor in Microbiology with the University of Alberta and after retiring he moved to the Westside Road area of Vernon in 1991. He became very active in lapidary, silver smithing, jewelry making and along with his wife Cecile, they were present at many craft shows and farmers markets. Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Life Service which will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Tats to the Drs. Tom McMurtry & Peter Baerg Cancer Centre, Vernon Jubilee Hospital, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 9Z9.
