TERENCE WYNNE VICE passed away at Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong, B.C., Monday, November 4, 2002, at the age of 47 years. Born in East London, South Africa, Friday, January 21, 1955, Terry was raised in Zambia during his early years on a farm in the African bush. Later his family moved to Rhodesia. He served 6 years with the Rhodesian Army. Initially in the Rhodesian Light Infantry, he later joined the Special Forces Selous Scouts. His bush craft and tracking skills were renowned. In 1978 he married Jane and they honeymooned on the Greek Islands as well as visiting Rome and England. He and Jane immigrated to South Africa in 1980 where he trained and qualified as a Machinist, a career that served him well in Canada, after he arrived in Richmond in 1983 to start a new life. He was the beloved husband of Jane and father of Kevin (16) and Andrew (13) of Armstrong. Terry loved his boys and Jane, and he was a fun exciting husband and Dad. Special times were spent in Seymour Arm at the lake. The family moved to Armstrong in 1994 and were very happy until Terry began to show symptoms of an illness. He was eventually diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy. That was when we started to lose the man as we knew him.

He was our Dad he was love. God gave him to us from above.

When we recall his smiling face, we remember Terry’s gentle grace.

When he could no longer bear the pain, God opened up another door.

To heal his heart is what God chose.

To give him peace and sweet repose.

No longer suffering, no longer in pain.

In obeying God he truly gained.

We loved you so much.

“Hamba Kahle” (Go safely.)

We’ll always love you to bits Terry bean.

“Death sets the soul free to fly”
