Theresa Maria Munro went to live with the Lord Jesus after a lengthy argument with rheumatoid arthritis, passing away peacefully in Salmon Arm, BC on November 15, 201.
Born in Ibstone, Saskatchewan in March of 1933. At the age of 12 she travelled with her parents and siblings by train to their new home in the "land of milk and honey", Vernon, BC.
As the oldest living child, Mom stayed very busy assisting her mom with her 12 younger brothers and sisters, and working on the family farm in the dreaded bean patch. Mom's first job as a primary school teacher in Sicamous, BC netted her the love of her life, Gordon, and was married on a lovely Easter Monday in 1955.
Mom always maintained her commitment to the Roman Catholic Church as her and Gordon raised their 5 children on their farm in Solsqua. Besides the family, mom's love was Jesus Christ. She was able to express this at Our Lady of Fatima parish (her second home). Mom was a lifetime CWL member. This love of service extended fully to her home where everyone was welcome. The coffee pot was always on and her fresh baking was plentiful.
Mom will be forever missed by her 5 children: Anne Fitzpatrick of Sicamous, Janice Jackson (Greg) of Salmon Arm, Tricia Adams (Stewart) of Red Deer, Bruce Munro (Jacqueline) of Sicamous, Tanya Dyck (Dennis) of Sicamous. Many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.
Survived by Siblings: Morris (Helen), Joe (Jean), Sylvia (Rick), Nick (Carol), John, Vera (Terry), Marie, Lorence (Lynn), Bill (Marilyn), Andy, Polly (Dave), Linda (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Anton and Pearl Bidulka, sisters Theodozia, Ruby Anne, Patricia and Natalie, her husband Gordon, and grandchildren Justin and Caleb.
