Thomas Albert (Rowan) Grassi passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Thursday, May 14th, 2009 at the age of 93 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Linda Riccio (Max); one grandson, Paul Ramshaw and one brother, Steve Grassi, all of Australia; his adopted families and many friends in Canada which he made over the years. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Rowan was a marvelous person, a great photographer and a man who loved to travel the world. He was the Lumby Wildlife Club resident caretaker for many years and the club members will miss him at their many functions.
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Rowan’s Life which will be held at the Lumby & District Wildlife Association Clubhouse, 2631 Highway 6 East on Saturday, June 6th, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with a luncheon being served.
As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Rowan to the Lumby & District Wildlife Association, P.O. Box 228, Lumby, B.C. V0E 2G0.
Special thanks are extended to Dr. Waldron and the other doctors who took care of Rowan while he was in the Hospital. Thank you to the nurses on Two East and Three West for their love and compassion to Rowan and also for the love and comfort they gave to me, Odel Ogi. Your care and support were greatly appreciated.
